Friday night at the club... the revelation

multi tabling at the same time this aint gonna be easy...

so friday Im heading to the club. Ive even made a backprint to one of the gutshot tshirt so it says gold vip :) Im being outrageous with this gold vip thing ... but it makes me laugh.

so I play the tourney, "crush it" until I bubble with KK vs AJ... back at the start oif the tournament, I had an encounter with "little something", forgot the name, all smiles and banter until I caught him semi bluffing a all hearts flop when I have tptk. the Guy berates me, so i just quickly tell him not to give me 3-1 odds then preflop, as 2-3 times i know where Im at here. min raise min raise... good players never min raise PF, not with shallow stacks, and not when there is ablsoultely not meta game going on.

Apparently he is a nice guy and a good player. Not used to the CILY's snap check call obviously. This was really not like what happened later on.

Was a bit angry after losing to the ace on the river, cause if not I was gonna go for it, and get an even roi than ever.

and then proceeded to play some 1-3 with some really nice people, maq, matt, rhobin, one veyr nice guy and a few others who'd bust out quickly.

Turned out this table was the best table Ive ever played poker at, the level of play was insane, the conversation was good, and im out of the table with the odd 50% ROI. I had q quick go at the DC game, but really you had CHen and some other guys who were clearly 10x better than me at those games, and probably as good as me at PLO so why play...

well i was in a good mood, and wanted to kind of play a night at the club see whats its all about.

The result is clearly getting a much better understanding of the club spirit in the club.

ANd this would make me want to mitigate what I said earlier and I just read as its on the front page of the blog section> the people with no lives post. Although I still think some people are a bit too much down there, I can understand why, and will let them use their judgment not to cannibalize their own life.

Not sure its the place but id say i was not totally right on this, there is 25% of truth. For the first time I really felt part of it and as such wouldnt have liked somebody telling me i have no lives( if i was grinding there, which couldnt happen anyway but...) So guys, dont grind too often, makes sure you got a right life balance. and thats it. no judgments :)

so I was playing with Chen, tookie, Pokemon who had just binked the tourney.

I must say , when you binked a tourney and say " i played well, but got lucky, good situations" most people are like WTF !!!!

People are not used to the truth of what is tournaments, Pokemon knows what happens, and knowing whats really going on is the key to being a good player.

I played very well in thios tournament given my draw, my cards, my opponents and so on. played well in the 1-3 and played ok in the DC game until I put my money in with 25% in 5 cards PLO.

I have to be aware I got lucky there, and instead of being like im due some luck (which I thought at the start) I need to look into why to it put 300£ in semi bad against pokemon.

Somethign has been a#happening recently Im looking a #t a few outs, and thinking about them coming and they come...

well, it's just that when they do I remember and when they dont, I dont. nothing magical there... haha I got you.

anyway on this hand, I thought Poke wouldnt let the turn peel with top set and would reraise with 99 on Q9x flop 2 diamonds I think...

obv my open ended is pretty weak, until 4 on the turn... I hit bottom set... bottom set + open ended... hard to fold now if my read is right.

money goes in on turn, remaining goes blind on river, and 8 for the straight.

Poke is a bit mad, Im like hmm have I just won a pot in bad... its kind of a nice feeling to win...

I think there are several reasons:

It was late ( probably on my b- game at best)
I was having fun (not caring much about the odd 500 on the table)
I was playing a game with no edge on most game, and even a clear disavantange...
Playing with rocks, or good players... I remeber seeing the dc game early and being like no edge no bet, im out. why do i play 7 hours later then>?

I lacked discipline because I wanted to play on.

not sure ill be able to do it again, and play on Friday, as it was kinda execeptionnal and disruped my WE pretty well, im still off sinc with normal day and night.

but I had a great time, got unlucky, met some people, had, fun, and then got lucky.
Bounty comp was a blast, buffet was LAVISH. good job everybody, if i was leaving in this part of london, id defo be there a bit more, but I dont.

Good memories but I need to remember, really my discipline is not good anymore, I have to fix that quickly!!!
