On Sunday 11th April I'm going to take part in the London Classic charity bike ride. It's a fundraising event for the The Evelina Childrens Hospital, which is part of Guy's and St Thomas'.

In two and a half years of blogging I've never written as infrequently as this last month. Inertia doesn't make for good material.

Weeks pass in my parents' village without my seeing anyone else. This isn't a transient area, and I don't think people like me exist around here. At thirty, everone's married, has a mortgage, and plays golf, or darts if they're a bit rough. My New Years Eve sums up how I've been living in the preceeding year, whether it's shambolic, disorganised; euphoric, or just quietly contented. It's also a point at which I realize with previously unknown clarity which people matter to me most.
