Important Notice re-Cash Race

The 3 month cash race comes to a close at midnight Saturday 31st July.
I know there will be few members who have qualified that are not playing.
We need to know who definately is not playing and taking their 50% equity.
The cut off point to tell us you are not playing will be 7pm Thursday 5th August.
If we don't hear from you by then we will assume you are playing and your chips will be in play.

John

It looks like the cash in equity will be about £18/1000 chips and the current value of the chips will be twice that.

Every non-runner increases the value of everyone elses chips, although the cash-in equity remains static. The more non runners, the more equittable it is to play.

Therefore, is it possible to publish the non runners list and update it on the forum. The point being, it becomes an additional reason not to cash in as you now have increased value?

Don't complain, every dropout increases the prize fund for the rest of us, as they are leaving half their equity behind. I guarantee I won't be dropping out, unless I'm struck down bu Asian flu or run over before Friday.

Runners dropping out and cashing in their equity at a discount to its real value (as per the pre defined rules of the comp.) does not increase the prize fund, it reduces the prize fund.

However, the equation is more attractive to the remaining runners because our equity value increases.

the prize pool is getting decimated. it's a shame. i know our equity increases, but it is greater equity in a smaller prize pool, so.... meh.

also: if there are only 45 runners, will 18 places still be getting paid and will it still be a two day event?

Very true Phil, now just 49 runners. But I think when we get the final update it will still look very attractive. We've lost about 22% of the field but the prizepool is maybe down by only about 14%. I'll happily take that equation any day of the week.

I asked Barry about the 18 places thing a few days ago and he said that 18 places definitely get paid. The day 2 thing though, I don't know?

We may have to eat 14 chicken drumsticks each. In preparation for this I started a water only diet at 1 p.m. today.
