So there is how the hand played out till the river. A little table history. Villains stats at that time were 68/7. I think his VPIP is elevated cause he was playing directly to my right and was the big stack early on and i was the short stack with about 800/1000 chips for a long time so he kept limping in on the small blind with ATC knowing that if i had something i had to shove and couldn't really to afford to bluff any fllop turn river, so we had alot of pots that were just checked down, I did hope that would add to my image of being an 'honest' player who only bets when he has it. I did manage to double up about two hands prior to this one through Villain with my AJ holding up against his A5.

Anyways, 2 things, am i right in raising this pre with A7s when it's 3 handed?

As you can see this hand is checked to the river where villain makes a pot sized bet......

Indeed you're right to raise pre flop on the button with a suited ace. As you didn't C-bet, never put him to the test at all, we can't really have any clear idea of what he's got. Because of this, I think I would just fold. Blinds are still relatively small and there's plenty of play left, so wait for a better spot.

Fold 90% of the time shove 10%

unless this is a 6max sng and it's now the bubble, in which case fold 100% of the time

I assume this is a 9 max game otherwise i fold everytime given how many BB's you have left.

IMO A7s is too big with 3 left to open fold, but i would have bet the flop after raising pre. It's difficult to represent anything now you've checked it all way to river.

If it is 9 max i'm probably raising a larger % of the, but folding to a shove. IMO A7s is too big with 3 left to open fold.

Yer, my bad you guys, it is indeed a 6 max so were on the bubble. Sorry i didn't mention that :(

You have to fold now but I would make a c bet on that flop and give up if called.

I think folding pre is a little too tight.

I think not betting the flop is an error.

I think after not betting the flop, not betting the turn is an error. You do have some kind of showdown value so betting the turn and getting called is not so bad as you will get a free showdown way more often than not.

Fold River.

For what it is worth I would check the flop and bet the turn.

I'd be more inclined to call the river if it bricked with a or similar, because then I beat a lot of KQ, KJ,QJ type hands. I would hate life if I called and he was bluffing with .

Looking at this hand again today, i played this so horribly. I can't believe i didn't C bet against a player i know to be passive post flop, I am such a donkey.

Anyways, does his bet size not look like a steal to anyone?

Yes, very much so - I tend to snap off pot-sized bets more often than smaller ones when they come from this player type. But here he is often "bluffing" with better.
